Hallows Eve was on Halloween founded in 1983 by Dave Stuart, Tommy Sewart, Skullator and Stacy Anderson. The band's name is a name for this American holiday.
1984 was the demo Tales of Terror and a little later a rehearsal recording. A sampler contributions ( Metal Merchants ) for the compilation Metal Massacre 6 followed. The label Metal Blade , the band under contract. In 1985 the album Tales of Terror . Ronny Apoldt played a percussion as Tym Helton has just been hit by a truck and was in the hospital.
The album quickly played thrash metal, but also contains melodies. The production suffered from time and budget constraints. The lyrics deal with horror - and science fiction themes. The album is well received by the scene, a tour with Slayer , Exodus and Nasty Savage followed.
Skullator rose before the next plate Death & Insanity of (1986). The tape made with only a guitar on. The album shows a game technical improvement of the band, the production is more powerful. Lyrically this concept album mainly from death.
In 1986, the song "Lethal Tendencies" was released, from the 1986 album Death & Insanity, on the soundtrack to the film Rivers Edge . Among the actors included, among others Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper .
The next album Monument in 1988 recorded with Rob Cayton on drums, the Tym Helton replaced. Monument contains with Sheer Heart Attack a Queen - cover .
